About this Blog
This blog is somewhere in between a private blog and mountaintop for me to bounce my ideas off the world.
A confused creature, like I myself am.

My posts on events and reflections in my life are mostly for catharsis, and little bit to leave an record of my emotions. Sometimes, they also cry out for help which I am unsure if even really want.

My posts on anime and food are largely borne from a simple desire to share things I enjoy with other people, but also little bit from the less simple desire to practice writing, in hopes of becoming a professional food writer/critic.

About Me
I’m a Singaporean (chinese) guy. I studied media in University and am currently a government employee

Age wise, I’m betwixt Gen X and Gen Y. Grew up on a media diet of Electric Company and cartoons like Transformers, MASK and TMNT.
I used to own a Sega Mega Drive (Genesis in the US) and remember fondly games like Bare Knuckle (Streets of Rage), the First SONIC and Street Fighter 2.

Loves
I enjoy good food of almost all cuisines, and I enjoy cooking once in a while. Favourite foods include sashimi, liver and eggs in any style.
I “discovered” anime in University and haven’t looked back since – even now my media diet is practically 90% anime.
I love learning new things and bits of trivia. But I enjoy learning history, visiting the museum occasionally and appreciating the weight of history.

I’m a little bit of an IT geek and take pride that despite my age:

- I used to play regularly with my Aunt’s IBM-XT (a PC with no hard drive)… Frogger, Qbert and Karateka!
- I remember 1 foot- Floppy diskettes… Yep not 5.25 ones – 1 FOOT…. I played with em in my Mum’s office at one of those bring your kids to work saturday mornings…
- I played with PCs before I was 5 years old (there’s that Command Line programme where the turtle draws some pictures….)
- I remember Lotus 1-2-3 and Wordperfect… ugh…

whats Important for Me Right Now
I think right now in my life I’m trying to achieve “balance” and finding a way to put everything I enjoy together in a pragmatic, sustainable way
And still trying to figure out how to best live the life I’ve been given.
